The initial consultation involves a detailed case history, physical assessment, and hands-on treatment. We’ll also discuss your goals and develop a tailored plan for your recovery. Your session will take place in the comfort of your own space.
The number and frequency of treatments vary depending on the nature, duration, and severity of your condition, as well as your overall health and response to treatment.
As a general guide:
Acute or recent injuries (e.g. mild strain or sprain):
⤷ Typically 2–4 sessions, spaced 3 to 7 days apart
Subacute conditions (e.g. moderate injuries or flare-ups):
⤷ 4–6 sessions, initially weekly, then spaced further apart as symptoms improve
Chronic or long-term complaints (e.g. persistent back pain, long-standing postural issues):
⤷ 6–10 sessions or more, starting weekly or fortnightly, followed by maintenance care as needed
Your osteopath will guide you on the ideal schedule based on your response to treatment, recovery goals, and day-to-day physical demands.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move in. Activewear or gym-style clothing is ideal. You may be asked to expose certain areas for assessment or treatment, but only with your consent and comfort in mind.

Yes. Osteopaths are nationally registered with AHPRA and trained to assess and treat a wide range of patients. Treatment plans are always tailored to your condition, comfort level, and medical history.
During your follow-up consultation, your osteopath will check in to see how your body responded to the previous treatment — whether you felt better, the same, or worse.
This feedback is important as it provides insight into the nature of your condition and helps guide the ongoing treatment plan. Your response helps determine how well your body is adapting and how much further care may be needed to reach your recovery goals.

We do not treat children under the age of 13. For those 13 and over, treatment may be provided with a parent or guardian present at the time and location of the appointment.
We acknowledge that working with children requires specific experience, and there are many excellent osteopathic practitioners who specialise in paediatrics. We’re happy to refer you to a trusted practitioner who works well with children if needed.
